The attributes and what they do
Every point you spend shows up in the match engine. Here is exactly what each attribute affects, so you can build your player on purpose instead of on instinct.
Physique
- Energy — your resources in the match. Below zero and your match is over.
- Shot power — how much energy the opponent loses when a shot lands.
- Stamina — how many rounds you last. Stamina 50 lasts about 12 rounds.
Game sense
- Vision — decides who reaches the ball first and can grant extra attacks.
- Tackles — break the opponent's attack and open counters.
Match intelligence
- Work ethic — more XP per match and training session.
- Instinct — affects decisive chances and perfect strikes.
- Captaincy — strengthens the whole side in 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5.
- Mind games — rattles the opponent and lowers their efficiency.
Finishing schools
The six finishing schools — cannon shot, power finish, long range, volleys, inside foot and dribbling — set your finishing precision and which boots you may wear. Heavy schools hit harder but act less often, light ones more often but softer.
Gear and weight
Protection lowers the damage you take but adds weight. Carry too much for your strength and you lose tempo; boots beyond your strength cannot be worn at all.
