How to protect your career from injuries and retirement

In Legends Arena the career is real: energy below zero means hospital, and severe enough injuries retire the player permanently. It sounds harsh — but with the right style you control the risk yourself.

Energy below zero

Every shot that lands costs the opponent energy. Lose all of it before the match ends and you are out of the game — and into hospital. The stay costs time and coins before the player is match-fit again.

The give-up threshold is your safety

In the tactic choices you set a give-up threshold: when energy reaches that level your player leaves the pitch. You lose the match, but save the body. Against heavier opponents it is often the wise choice — a defeat costs XP, a retirement costs everything.

Aging cannot be stopped

Players age regardless. But a well-kept player — one who steps off in time, repairs gear and keeps form up — lasts longer. Permanent retirement comes from severe injuries, not age alone.

The legend tournament is the exception

In the monthly legend tournament the stake is the whole career: lose and your player retires on the spot, whatever the injury status. Only enter when you are ready to risk it.

Protection lowers the risk

Protective gear cuts the damage you take per hit. It weighs more and costs tempo if your strength is low — but for someone who often faces heavy finishers it is cheap insurance against hospital.

FAQ

Can an injured player fully recover?
Yes, the hospital patches injuries for coins and the player returns match-fit. Only severe enough injuries — or a loss in the legend tournament — make retirement permanent.
